Until March 2012 all Islay ferries will run in and out of Port Askaig, just over two hours from Kennacraig. The crossing is run by Calmac and the timetable is downloadable above.
From Port Askaig on Islay you get the Jura Ferry to Feolin on Jura and the timetable is downloadable above. The ferries more or less coincide and although the wee ferry over to
Jura is not bookable, it keeps going back and forth until everyone waiting is across. (NB if you're travelling after 6.30pm you need to book the Jura Ferry - call 01496 840681.)
From Feolin the drive is straightforward - just follow the road! If you're on foot you can take the bus straight to the hotel (except on Sundays) - the timetable is downloadable above.

"We had a wonderful time on Jura and made more special by the staff at the Jura Hotel. We had a marvellous view over the bay and were able
to enjoy spectacular sunrises. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was good quality and great value... It is great that those on a budget or who simply want to, can camp on the lawn at the front of the hotel for a donation. Showers and washing machine facilities are also available to campers. This is an enlighted approach that we are sure will pay dividends. This is a comfortable, friendly and good value hotel. We hope the new owners will continue to make improvements but retain its essential character."
